August Classes, Workshops, and Events

Greetings dancers and friends! I'm excited for our classes starting this week. On Wednesday, August 9th, join us for Belly Dance Basics at 7:00PM and Beyond Basics at 8:00PM. Always wanted to try belly dance? Try our Pay What You Can Classes on Saturdays at 11AM (8/12, 8/19, and 8/26). On Monday the 14th, we're starting a hybrid bellydance fitness class at 7:00PM! Drop-in or purchase the full series. We have a special all month - your first belly dance drop-in at the studio is only $15. Just come to the studio and let us know it's your first class!
Last but not least, we're having a recital on August 25th! Come to the beautiful Eastridge location of the Carnegie Library - 1900 Graham Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15235. Doors open at 7:00PM and the show is at 7:30PM. We're offering sliding scale ticketing with a suggested minimum of $10. Ticketing link coming soon!

Pay What You Can Saturdays in August!
August 12, 19, and 26th
Always wanted to try belly dance? In this series learn belly dance from the ground up. Specifically designed for beginners, you’ll learn the fundamentals of this rich dance form. This session focuses on the the fundamental steps common in most fusion belly dance formats, isolations, shimmies, and how to play finger cymbals! Technique will be broken down in detail. This class starts with a cardio warm-up and stretching cool down. Suggested donation is $7-$20.
Monday Classes - Hybrid!
Belly Dance Fitness
August 14 - September 18 (5 week session - no class on Sept 4/Labor Day)
It's finally here! We have a hybrid class to fit your schedule! Enjoy this fitness fusion class. Start with a mat based warm-up, move into high energy belly dance routines, and drill technique to gain stamina. This is an all levels class. You'll receive a Zoom link after you register. No refunds unless class is canceled by instructor.
August 9th - August 30th, 2023 (4 week sessions)
$65 for one session/$115 for two sessions
Belly Dance Basics - 7:00-7:55PM
Join in on the fun and belly dance with us! Learn the fundamentals of classic belly dance style while enjoying an engaging movement experience. Each class you will be introduced to basic isolations, steps, and short combinations. History and styles of belly dance will be discussed. This class is perfect for beginners or those wishing to refine their technique. Class starts with a cardio warm-up and ends with a yoga cool down. Wear comfortable clothes such as yoga pants and a t-shirt and bring a water bottle. No refunds unless session is canceled by instructor. Opportunities to make up missed classes will be available! Cash, check, or PayPal accepted.
Beyond Belly Dance Basics: 8:00-8:55PM (class will be rescheduled on August 16th to a date tbd)
Moving beyond the basics, this session integrates steps, combinations, and belly dance props! You'll also be introduced to rhythms commonly used in belly dance. Have fun learning engaging and joyful dance combinations. This class is perfect for adventurous beginners as well as intermediate students. No refunds unless class is canceled by instructor.
Advanced Belly Dance
August 10th - August 30th
$65 for series/$20 drop-in
This is an advanced belly dance class included complex drills, finger cymbals, advanced technique, and complex combinations. 3 Years progressive belly dance experience and permission from instructor is required. You may drop-in or purchase the full 4 week session. No refunds unless class is canceled by instructor.
