A Sword Is Not A Hat Bohemian Blade workshop
Imbue your sword practice and performance with more power & purpose. Belladonna and the Boho Blade format have revolutionized how swords are used in bellydance by introducing a variety of grips, balances and transitional moves. With the philosophy that a sword is more than a prop to plop on your head, this workshop is focused on helping dancers improve their coordination with their sword as their weapon and dance partner. Dancers will be introduced to the Boho Blade signature hand held vocabulary and technique. Each move can be linked together seamlessly and will complement your existing sword movement vocabulary and skills. Dancers must provide their own bellydance appropriate sword. 2 swords are available to borrow on a first come/first serve basis with registration. No refunds unless event is cancelled.
Bio: Anela is a performer, producer, instructor, and choreographer based in Pittsburgh, PA. She performs multiple styles and is Certified Under Belladonna's Sword dancing programs: Level 6 Mystic Single Sword and Level 1-Initiate Double Sword. She is a Certified Instructor of Bohemian Bellydance Fundamentals and Sword Foundations.
